Al Futtaim Group, a leading UAE engineering concerns has announced that it has won some major contracts worth $22.5 million for providing and installing lifts made by Hitachi and LM. These escalators and elevators will be installed on some of the prime real estate projectors currently under construction in UAE. The projects include The Nation Towers and Investment Council Headquarters located in Abu Dhabi, and Al Hikma Tower project under construction in Dubai. The announcements were made after a recent research report on the UAE construction industry, which showed confidence and optimism for the future of the industry. Managing Director of Al Futtaim also described similar views about the positive vibes returning back to the UAE real estate in the recent past. He was also positive about his company’s work progress after being awarded some excellent projects saying, “We are delighted to be partners in some of the biggest and prestigious real estate projects in the country. The three projects further endorse Al-Futtaim Engineering’s core competencies as one of leading vertical transportation solution provider in the UAE.”
Al Futtaim will supply 45 Hitachi elevators and eight escalators for the 64 storey Nation Towers project. The group will also install some 22 Hitachi elevators and four escalators for the 29 storey Investment Council Head Quarter Tower. Al Hikma Tower will be installed with the state of the art, high speed elevators. This project has been awarded by China State Construction and had been competed for in April.
